Geraldeen A. Heirsch

Geraldeen A. Heirsch, age 85, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2018. She is preceded in death by the late Charles G. Heirsch and Edna Wetzka Heirsch, her brothers, Charles J. Heirsch and Alvin J. Heirsch and her sister, Alma April. She is survived by her nephew John G. April and his wife, Joycelyn R. April, who were her care-givers for the past 25 years. She is also survived by 4 nephews, 2 nieces, her great-nephew Christopher April, along with numerous other great-nephews and great-nieces.

Geraldeen worked in the insurance industry for many years, serving the St. Rose, Louisiana area. She was a long-time member of St. Edward the Confessor Parish church and enjoyed spending time with her family.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana at 11:00 am, Visitation with the family will be from 9:00 am - 11:00. Interment will take place at St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery #1, 1950 Soniat St., New Orleans, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Farhad Grotto, 2310 Hickory Ave., River Ridge, Louisiana 70123.
