Henry Muntz

Henry Joseph Muntz passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the age of 83, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Beloved husband of 56 years Alice Martinez Muntz, loving father of Evelyn Frantz (Steven), Michael Muntz and Brenda Muntz Morgan (David). Son of the late Henry A. and Pearl M. Muntz. Former father-in-law of Kathleen C. Muntz. Proud grandfather of David Frantz (fiancé Natalie Comeaux), Jared Frantz (fiancé Veronica Togade), Alicia Frantz and Rachel Frantz, Jessica Muntz, Lauren Muntz and Hunter Muntz, Hayley Morgan and Brooke Morgan and step-granddaughter Ashley Morgan. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie for 49 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was also in the La National Guard (Jackson Barracks). He also worked for Gulf Oil Corporation and retired from Sears in 1991. The family would like to thank his wonderful caregivers (Joanne, Susan, Courtney, Deacon Butch, Ethel, Ms. Nursie, Ms. Jaranet, Ms. Gaynel and Gail Eucharistic Minister).Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Highway on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Christopher the Martyr Catholic Church, 309 Manson, Metairie.
