Hugh Elemer “Macky” McMurray, Jr., a gift from God, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, February 26, 2012. He was 60 years old. Macky was born in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of Kenner, LA. Beloved son of Arcola McMurray and the late Hugh Elemer McMurray Sr. Brother of Kathlean McMurray, uncle of Eric Sivula, grandson of the late Lena Tilson McMurray. Best friend of Tracy Brown, his loving and caring caretaker of over 10 years. Relatives and friends of the family, members of First Assembly Church of Metairie, and Amazing Love Church of River Ridge are invited to attend the Service on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 11:00 am at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. near Clearview Pkwy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, February 29, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Thursday, March 1 from 9:00 am until 11:00 pm. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie, LA.
