James Andrew "Jim" Andersen Jr.

James Andrew “Jim” Andersen, Jr. Entered into a peaceful rest on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 after 3 years fighting a battle with lung cancer. Devoted husband of Mary Beth Bergeron Andersen of 35 years. Loving father of James Andrew Andersen, III, Melissa Andersen Trosclair (Blake), and Stacey Andersen Louviere (Brad). Grandfather of Karsen Trosclair. Son of the late James Andrew Andersen, Sr. and Pearl St. Amant Andersen. Brother of Jamie Andersen Derenbecker.

He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Age 52, a native of Metairie, LA and a resident of New Roads, LA. Jim retired from Sears where he was a repair technician.

Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie. Visitation from 9:30 AM until funeral time. Interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P. O. Box 2151, Memphis, TN 38101.
