James "Jim" C. Azcona, Jr.

He was predeceased by his loving parents, James and Mary Elizabeth Mitchell Azcona.

Jim is survived by his siblings, Ann Ewin (Dabney), Susan Stouff (Roger), Stephen J. Azcona (Colleen), Nancy Lawson (Mark), his Aunt Joan Mitchell Mayeaux, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Jesuit High School in New Orleans and earned his college degree from the University of New Orleans.

Jim worked as an insurance adjuster and held various other occupations throughout his life. He was an avid music lover and collector with a deep appreciation for a wide range of genres. He enjoyed reading, especially books about art, history, and architecture, and he rarely missed a good music festival. James had a unique spirit and was known for marching to his own dreams and living life entirely on his own terms.

He will be remembered with love by those who knew him.

A private funeral service was held for the immediate family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
