Mr. James Jim Wendell Richard

James Wendell Richard. Age 86 on June 3, 2010. Beloved husband of the late Mary Kessler Richard. Loving father of Renee’ R. Robinson, Jamie R. Garrison, and Paula J. Richard. Grandfather of Travis J. Richard and Margaret Mary Robinson. Son of the late Vinzule B. Richard and Nelka Bourgeois Richard, natives of Convent, La. Brother of the late Yvonne Richard Boe and 1st LT. Wesley L. Richard USAAF. Father-in-law of John Garrison. Mr. Richard was retired from South Central Bell with 35 years of service. He served with the U.S. Navy Armed Guard in WWII. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, the American Legion Post 0401 and the V.F.W. Post 14000. He was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, a resident of Metairie for 59 years, and a resident of Enon, Louisiana since 1983.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am.
