James Leslie Sheeren

Devoted husband of Evelyn Mulkey Sheeren of 60 years.

Loving father of Linda S. King (James), Karen S. Herbert (Gary) and Rita S. Slayden (Steve).

Proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Son of the late Mary Mulkey Sheeren and Sidney Albert Sheeren.

James is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss his dearly.

Age 88, a native of Hammond, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Metairie.

James retired from Southern Railroad after 43 years of service. He was a member of Bridgedale Baptist Church in Metairie.

The relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at 12:30 PM at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie. Visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until funeral time.
