

Janice Marie LeBlanc passed away peacefully on October 6, 2022 at home surrounded by family, at the age of 82. She was born May 1, 1940, in New Orleans, LA and was a life-long resident of Little Farms.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry G. LeBlanc, Sr. and Ida Jesclard LeBlanc and her siblings, Ida Mae Delaune, Mildred Fischer, Hazel Blanke, Marion Maerke, Audrey Ruiz, Harry G. LeBlanc, Jr., and Maurice LeBlanc.
She is survived by her sister, Jacqelyn LeBlanc Fisher, sister-in law, Myrle Fisher LeBlanc, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was a founding member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church and will be remembered by generations of St. Matthew students as she worked in the school cafeteria for 39 years.
She enjoyed going to the family camp at Grand Isle with her father and mother, traveling the world with her sister Hazel, presiding over family celebrations, doing crafts and painting, and walking the neighborhood to stay in shape. She will be remembered by all for her great love of all creatures, having mothered innumerable dogs and cats over the years.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the St. Matthew the Apostle Church.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at St. Matthew the Apostle Church in River Ridge, LA . Visitation will be held from 10:30AM – 12PM with Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 12PM. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Following the burial a reception will be held for family and friends at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Kenner.
