Jean Evelyn Aucoin Bossier

Jean Evelyn Aucoin Bossier, of Algiers and New Orleans, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the age of 90. She was the loving wife of Septime “Tim” O. Bossier, Jr. who was beside her through life’s journey. She is survived by her children: Ernest (Jo Ann) Bossier, Renee (Robert) Hymel, and Barry Bossier (Rick Tusson); her grandchildren: Jennifer (Stephen) Stanton, Alicia (Jerry) Winn, Kristen, Michael, Katelyn Bossier and Kacie (Brian) Pitre. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Kayden, Riley, Ryan, Enoch, Nathaniel, Elijah and Cole.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Ernest Charles Aucoin and Mrs. Genevieve Cieutat Aucoin.

She was a graduate of Holy Name of Mary and Ursuline Academy along with secretarial business school. She held several clerical office positions, prepared thesis and term papers for college students, was a homemaker, a wonderful helpmate and wife of 64 years, and a loving mother. She was also a faithful, traditional Catholic and parishioner of Our Lady of Grace.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Visitation will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. A Traditional Latin Mass will follow at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 2552 Kentucky Ave., Kenner, LA 70062. Interment will be in Hope Mausoleum in New Orleans, LA.
