Jeannine Maloz Rigney

Beloved wife of Thomas Jude Rigney, Sr. Loving mother of Thomas Jude Rigney, Jr., Margaret Rigney Olivier (Brian) and Patrick McShane Rigney (Amanda Boever). Adored Granny of Paige Therese Olivier. Much loved sister of Wilson Lewis Maloz, Jr. (Karen George), Mary Maloz Richard, Michael Anthony Maloz (Michelle O’Daniels), Salvatricia “Sallie” Maloz Ragusa (Vincent Jr.), Timothy Joseph Maloz, Sr. (Kristie Barrios) and the late Clay Anthony Maloz. Jeannine is also survived by many loving nephews, nieces, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson Lewis Maloz, Sr. and Shirley Theresa Patterson Maloz.

Jeannine was born and raised in the Irish Channel in New Orleans, LA and a longtime resident of Metairie, LA.

Jeannine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Her love was felt beyond her family and friends, especially the children and families whose lives she touched at Ursuline Academy who affectionately called her Mrs. Jeannine (Mrs. Rebekaa “the bible lady”).

Family, friends and employees of Ursuline Academy are invited to attend the Evening Wake at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a Rosary being said at 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at St. Mary Magdalen, 6425 W. Metairie Ave. in Metairie from 9:00 am until Mass at 11:00 am. Interment in St. Patrick No. 1.
