A native of New Orleans, Jessie attended St. Henry’s Elementary School and Fortier High School. Though displaced by Hurricane Katrina, she will return home in death and be laid to rest at St. Patrick Cemetery alongside her parents, Victoria Chapman McDaniel and Jesse Earl McDaniel, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Burns.
Jessie is survived by her brothers, Alan Griffin McDaniel and James Chapman McDaniel; her children; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held.
