Mrs. Joan David Clement

Joan David Clement passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, May 8, 2011. She was 74. Born in New Orleans, she resided in Picayune, Mississippi since 1996 and formerly resided in Metairie and Baton Rouge. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. She was the beloved wife of Alfred Nicholas Clement for nearly 53 years and loving mother of Sharon Clement Johnson (W. Matthew Johnson), Kathleen Clement Powajbo (Richard Powajbo) and Carol Ann Clement. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: William Johnson Jr., Cassie Clement, Melissa Johnson, Sean Johnson, Jillian Breaux, Jamie Breaux and Jenny Breaux; and one brother Marcus David (Janice). She was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and George David; a sister Catherine “Joy” Kearns; and three brothers: George David, Jr., Charles David and Neal David. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, LA on Thursday, May 12, 2011. Visitation from 10:00 AM to Noon, at which time the Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, in St. Rose, Louisiana.
