Jo-Ann “Hazel” Taylor Howard was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 22, 1943 to the late Mr. Joseph E. Taylor and Georgia F. Taylor. She graduated from George W. Carver High School in 1962 and attended Southern University of New Orleans, majoring in Business Administration. She worked for over 30 years as a clerk in Central Supply at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Jo-Ann was a loving and devoted wife of 50 years to Raphield Howard Sr. Out of their union were two children: Raphield Howard Jr. and Yolanda Howard. She also has two beautiful grandchildren: Joseph and Taylor. Sister of Georgiana Chapman (husband, Henry), Saundra Washington, Henderson Taylor (wife, Marguerite), and the late Joseph Taylor Jr, Wilfred Taylor (wife, Mary Helen), and Sylvia Johnson. She leaves behind a host of brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and many close family and friends.
