John Harold Moffatt Sr.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Grace Giroir Moffatt.

A loving father of John H. Moffatt, Jr. (Peggy), Mike T. Moffatt (Michelle) and Toby B. Moffatt (Nikki).

A proud grandfather of Kyle, Michael, Jr., Kayla, Trey and Matthew.

Son of the late Nettie Smith Moffatt and Romie T. Moffatt.

Brother of R. Terrell Moffatt, Jr. and the late James Moffatt, L. Smith Moffatt and Mildred M. Cockerham.

Harold is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Age 82, a native of Brookhaven, MS and a longtime resident of River Ridge, LA.

Harold was a part owner of Moffatt Bros. Hardware Store in Metairie until 1999 after 42 years in business.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 7:00 pm with visitation beginning at 5:00 pm.

Inurnment will be private at a later date. Harold’s family would like to extend their appreciation for the compassionate care given to him by the staff of St. Anthony’s Health and Rehab Center and Hospice Associates.
