John Darrell Mueller

John Darrell Mueller, age 72, beloved husband of Katherine Bihli Mueller for over 51 years passed away peacefully in his home on May 6, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family in his final moments after a long battle with cancer.

Darrell was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Martha Jada Carr and Elmer John Mueller, Jr. He is the loving father of Krista Lee Mueller and grandfather to Lance Charles Bettencourt and John Bransen Bettencourt, brother to Andrew Todd Mueller and the late Jeffery Scott Mueller. He was involved in various activities throughout his life from cub scouts, boy scouts, sea scouts and playing football for John F Kennedy Sr High and for LSUNO. He was also a member of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity.

His love for motorcycles involved him in the New Orleans, Slidell, and Hammond HOG Chapters, The Christian Motorcycle Association, and The Crusaders of the Cross Ministry where every second Saturday he would go downtown under the bridge and help feed the homeless.

He had a tremendous love for the Lord and facilitated Bible studies in our home for over 10 years.

There will be a private graveside service at Metairie Cemetery with a celebration of life following.
