

John J. Sullivan passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the age of 84. He was born and raised on Eagle St. (close to Oak and the River) along with his siblings: Patsy Adcox, Catherine Cole and the late Eddie Sullivan, Ann Naylor and Rose Schwall. He attended Warren Easton High School and graduated in 1946. A true patriot, John entered the military in 1951 to serve in the Korean Conflict. He later became a successful businessman, making a name for himself in the brick industry. John especially enjoyed traveling with his wife and true love, the late Gloria Callan Sullivan throughout the US, Gatlinburg, TN being a favorite destination. He also enjoyed many hobbies including wood-working and building models of boats and airplanes. Since he and Gloria had no children, they shared their love and their lives with their extended families.
Mr. Sullivan was laid to rest with his beloved wife in Garden of Memories Cemetery in a private ceremony.
