I send my deepest sympathy for the passing of your dad, Terrie. I only had the opportunity to meet him once but from all that I have heard from you he was such a loving dad and grandfather. Your family is in my prayers during this time of sorrow.

You have been a part of my life for over 30 years and will be missed by all.

We had so many good times.I remember when I was about 14 he loaned me some money to buy food for a puppy I wanted.He was always so generous to everyone.He was always willing to help someone out when they needed it.We would take rides through the country side to get out of the house,and he would tell me about things from his childhood. He will be missed. Terrie, my prayers are for you and your family.I love you.

I read this while trying to figure out what to put on Dad's memorial prayer cards and nearly started to cry. This rang so true. He was a generous, loving and such a caring man - though he tried to hide it. Life didn't necessarily deal him a great hand... but he truly knew how to embrace it and deal. He was so strong, til the very end. Not trying to show how scared he must have been and trying not to worry me. I hope he knew how much I love(d) him and cherished him... and most of all, how much I am going to miss him.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Terrie. I'm sitting here trying to think of what to say about your dad. One thing that popped in my head was how he used to get me Fong's chinese on my birthday :-) He loved that place as much as I did. He'll always be a part of our lives. It will get easier in time. But you'll always think of him at the strangest times. I love you very much.
