Josephine Bodenheimer

Josephine Henrietta Geraci Bodenheimer passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, December 27, 2017. She was 90 years young. Beloved wife of the late Edward Joseph Bodenheimer for over 59 years. Sister of Dominick Anthony Geraci (Santrina), Mary Geraci Rambeau, and the late Theresa Geraci Massa (the late Junior). Aunt of Lisa Geraci Freibert (Jim Hughes), Frank B. Massa III, Dawn Guillot Miller (Jim), Cindy Guillot Bourgeois (the late George), the late George Metzger, III (Merilynn), Lee Bodenheimer (Elvie), Randy Bodenheimer (the late Rhonda), Sandy Fulco, and many other great-nieces and great-nephews. Daughter of the late Frank Geraci and Antonina Saso Geraci. Also survived by her friend and caretaker, Faye Taylor. “Josie” was born in Trabia, Italy and has been a resident of the New Orleans area for the majority of her life. She retired from Gus Mayer after over 35 years of dedicated service. Josie was a free spirit with an impressive sense of style who always enjoyed family gatherings and celebrations. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Josie and her close family members at LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie on Saturday morning, January 13, 2017 at 11:00. Visitation will begin at 10:00.
