We have so many wonderful memories of Joy. She was such a special giving person. We will truly miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with Joey and the entire family.

I worked with Joy's daughter Joey at Lykes Bros Steamship Co. and knew Joy there.  She was a wonderful person always with a smile and a friendly greeting.  She made great red beans and rice, which I had the pleasure of enjoying when Joey and a were building a dog house for Joey's dog, many many years ago. Ms. Joy was indeed a Beautiful Lady and wonderful person to know.  We loved her dearly.  And,  know she and my Brother were very happily married the last 10 years of their lives together.  We will miss their weekend visits to Tickfaw, La. and just spending time together. She is very sadly missed but we know she is happy now in her eternal home and with no more suffering.

I always loved being w/Joy at Alicia's hair salon.  She was always a delight and a "Joy"!  Joy's presence will be missed but I'm glad she's at peace and no longer suffering.
