Joyce Elizabeth Folse

Joyce Elizabeth Folse, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday January 28, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Herman “Blackie” Folse. Mother of Kathy Bodden (spouse, Robert “Sonny” Bodden) and the late Herman Joseph “Jay” Folse and Michael J. Folse. Grandmother of Angel Duffaut (spouse, Bryan Duffaut), Chance Folse, Timothy Folse, Kristen Bodden (spouse, Matthew Brown), James Hano and Robert Hano. Great grandmother of Bret Eliser, Riley Duffaut, Chase Bodden, Ashley Hano and McKenzie Brown. Daughter of the late Harold A. Root and Frances Angelic Montecino Root. Sister of the late Shirley Butler. Sister-in-law of Shirley Folse Bacques. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Folse was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Church and an active club member with the Hill Toppers. She was a caretaker/homemaker with a great big heart. She loved to travel, loved the beach and spending her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Folse will truly be missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Friday, January 31, 2020 beginning at 11:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
