Joyce Mary Duffy Underwood, age 81, passed away peacefully at Waldon Healthcare Center in Kenner, LA on Monday, August 16, 2010. Joyce was born in New Orleans, LA on January 30, 1930. She was raised in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for over 45 years. Mrs. Underwood is survived by her husband of 52 years, Morse Underwood, her daughter, Dara Underwood Drivon and son-in-law, Earle Drivon. Grandmother of Blair Drivon and Brenton Drivon. Preceded in death by her two brothers, John Duffy and Warren Duffy. The family would like to thank Donna Carpenter for her help and support as well as Waldon Healthcare Center. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Friday, August 20, 2010 beginning at 11:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s Chapel.
