Julie Apffel Donenfelser passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 6:55 AM. Julie was 69 years old and was a lifelong resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved wife of Joe Donenfelser. Mother of Stephanie Krieger and the late and adored Dennis Donenfelser, who she will be with forever. She has always been so proud of her grandchildren, Landen, Aidan, Sophia, Morgan, Sydney Nicole, Arrianna, Christopher and Ryan. Her favorite pastime was reading poems and prose and she eventually wrote her own book called “Poems and Prose from the Heart” by Julie Donenfelser. Julie was so kind and generous to everyone and was such a special person in our lives. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial gathering at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 beginning at 3:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
