Julio Cesar Olin

Julio Cesar Olin passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in St. Rose, LA, on January 13, 2026, at the age of 92. Mr. Olin was the beloved husband to his late wife Mary Mahomar Olin for 63 years. He is survived by his sons Jose Enrique Olin, Edward Salvador Olin and his wife Robin and his daughter Gina Olin Radecker and her husband Mark. His grandchildren include Jennifer Neil and her husband Jerry, Eric Radecker and his wife Kelly, Alyssa Brown and her husband Dustin, Jessica Olin and her husband John Clark, Olivia Marshall and her husband Austin, Sarah Olin and Claudia Olin as well as eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous beloved family members in Honduras.

Mr. Olin, a native of Utila, Honduras, Central America, brought his family with his dear wife Mary to New Orleans for a better life in the United States. Mr. Olin’s passions included playing baseball for the Honduran National Team, ballroom dancing, playing golf regularly and woodworking as he helped many family members with a multitude of home projects. Mr. Olin will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 11:00am. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories, Metairie, LA.

Mass are prefered in lieu of flowers.
