I worked for Ken when he first opened Key Color in the early 70's. I left for a while and then came back and was there the day he shut the doors for good. I have to say that was my favorite job of all time. Ken was a very special person and I am truly sorry for your loss. He will be missed!

Our hearts are grieving with the loss of our dearest and best friend of 53 years.

Ken was a very caring person with a great sense of humor. It was an honor to have him (and Lina) as close friends for so many years. Through thick and thin, they were always a part of our lives.

We share your sorrow in the passing of both Ken and Lina Bryant, as they will be greatly missed but always in our hearts.

God has called you home....rest in peace our longtime friends. One day, we shall see each other again.

I will add to what my brother, Wayne McVadon, wrote.  Our parents were friends of Smith and Anna Bryant, Kenneth and Auburn's parents.  I recall many happy occasions when we visited their home on Plank Rd. in north Baton Rouge and they visited our home in Fairfields.  The bonds grew tighter during World War II when Smith was an officer in the Merchant Marine and made very dangerous transits of the North Atlantic Ocean delivering war materials to Russia and Great Britain, as I recall hearing.  My father was drafted into the Army.  My mother, Nita, and Anna supported each other, especially after my father was stricken by pneumonia during training in Wisconsin.  After my father's untimely death, she worked for some time at the photo-finishing company run by the Bryants--if my recollection of the chronology is correct.  They were, as I understand Kenneth was, very generous with their time and friendship.  I believe Auburn or Kenneth and his father attended my induction into the Baton Rouge High School Hall of Fame in the late 1980s. Kenneth impressed me always as a competent, intelligent, and caring person.  I regret that my 35 years in the Navy kept me from staying in touch over the years.  I have found an unlabeled photo from our childhood; I will scan it, run it by my brother, and then add it to this guest book if it seems to be Kenneth and Auburn with Wayne and me.

Our sincere thanks to all who wrote,phoned,sent flowers, made donations in their honor and attended the services for our parents.
Your acknowledgement of our loss and shared memories of Dad this week, and of Mom both now and when she passed away, have helped ease our grief.

My brother, Alton, and I grew up with Kenneth and Auburn. Our lives went separate ways, but we will always have fond memories of them and their parents. Our Dad was a photographer, so he & Smith were professional buddies.
