Leo Reshell Adams

Leo R. Adams, age 90, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013. Born August 9, 1922 in Echo, LA, he was the son of the late Leo Adams and Harriet Guillory Adams. He resided in Harahan, LA since 1948 with his beloved wife of 66 years, Helen Duffel Adams. A World War II navy vet, Leo retired from Mobil Oil Corp. in 1984 and proceeded to grab every opportunity possible to find himself grappling with a fishing pole, shrimping trawl or crab net.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Oakley and AJ Guillory. He is survived by “the love of his life”, Helen D. Adams , two daughters Linda Ennis (Richard) and Cyndi Aszklar (Jerry), one grandson Rick Ennis (Julie), one brother, Harry Guillory (Paula) and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral mass from the Metairie home of THARP-SONTHEIMER-THARP, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. at 43rd Street on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Visitation on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM.

The Adams family would like to extend special thanks and appreciation to Fortune Dugan, MD, and to Pat Stewart, RN, who have been so supportive of them through the years. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
