Leo Edgar Newman

On March 22, 2013, Leo E. Newman passed away at the age of 95. He lived with his family the last several years in Metairie, LA. He loved to hunt and fish, but most of all enjoyed being with his family. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all. His death was preceded by his loving wife of 66 years, Estelle Meaux Newman, and daughter Emma Newman Miller. He is survived by his children, Cora Newman Dillmann (husband, Clarence), Leo Newman, Jr. ( deceased wife, Kathy), Patricia Newman Kinchen (husband, Richard) and Gerald Newman, (wife, Phyllis), 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. He lived a full life and had many stories to pass on to his family and friends. A special thanks for the loving care given to him by his nurses Ann and Lanie who greatly eased his passing.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Visitation from 11:00 am until service time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
