Leroy Paul Kilburn

Leroy Paul Kilburn entered into heaven on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 with his loving family at his side. Devoted husband of Betty Arceneaux Kilburn of 56 years. Loving father of Leroy Paul Kilburn, Jr. (Tricia) and Ginny Kilburn Vidal (Chester). A proud grandfather of Brad (Brooke), Leann (Greg), Kimberly (Mike), Nathan (Fiance Maggie), Krystal (Mike) and the late grandson Samuel. Leroy also had 5 great grandchildren and a host of step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren. Son of the late Eva Garcia Kilburn and Sidney Kilburn, Sr. Brother of Julia K. Deroche and the late Sidney, Samuel, Farrell, Stanley and Eva Mae. He was also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 76, a native of Welham, LA and a lifelong resident of Avondale. A retired sheet metal mechanic of 41 years from Avondale Ship Yard.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until funeral time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations in his memory be made to the American Heart Association, 110 Veterans Suite 160, Metairie, LA 70005.
