we, the floyd schumann family, have some of the best memories of our lives with the porte's,    
Hahn's & Manning's. mom & dad took us to  mandeville so many times every summer. we ran through the old house with the dark wood lfloors--& no matter how hot it was, there was lalways a cool breeze blowing across the lake, through the rooms. everything smelled of pine lneedles! and then we had mardi gras on canal st. too...
these are just some of the memories we share 
 of linda & phillip, marvel (& "auntie" helena--marvel's mother-in-law), granny (bertha, our 
 grandma, schumann), lois, buddy, ronnie, & Butch... 
to marvel, phillip, lynell, tracy, rae ann & paul--
our sincere sympathy 2 you all. everything i 
remember about linda--from being mildly afraid 
of her as a young child, & growing to laugh with 
 her @ our tennessee williams-style family--it 
was all good!

You have our deepest sympathy on the loss of Linda. I know how much you cared for her and how important she was to your life and your family. I know your loving care for her over the last few years must have brought her great comfort. Your relationship was to be admired and although her loss is so very painful, I believe in time memories of her in better times will bring you and your family great comfort. Please know that Barney and I are thinking of you and wish we could be there for the services. Our predicament with mom has made it too difficult at the moment. My heart filled sorrow goes out to the Manning family. I have so many good memories of going to horse shows in the van. Linda was always there. The good old days at the Palomino shows. Linda was there. Just like Elizabeth Taylor their will never be a person like Linda Manning. For you Lynell, Rae, Tracy and Paul my heartaches for I know what it is like to loose someone so special. All I can say is : Look out Buddy here comes Linda! There's a new show  about to start in Heaven! Praying for you and your family, Cookie & Bert Jennings  Pearl River, La.

We have known Linda for over 30 years. We shared the love of horses along with Lynell and Rae Ann.  She had a great sense of humor and her family was everything. Thanks Linda for the great memories of the last 30+ years.
