Linda Gertrude (Madison) Moore

Linda Gertrude Moore, age 71, of New Orleans, LA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 peacefully at home surround by her family and friends. Linda was born in New Orleans on July 12, 1953 to the late Anthony Madison, Sr. and Emelda Chester Madison. Linda was preceded in death by her siblings, Paul Madison, Ellis Madison, Lydia Madison, and Joyce Madison Thompson; and her nephew, Anthony Madison, III. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 41 years, Charles Moore; her loving children, Doris (Herman) Franklin, Sr., Manuel Shaul, Jr., and Ne-Juan (Samuel) Martinez; grandchildren, Christian M. (Dwight) Harper, Jr. and Israel T. Bakewell; great grandchild, Dwight Harper, III; siblings, Anthony (Shewnell) Madison, Jr., Gail Madison Wells, Aaron Madison, Henry Madison, Ruth Madison, Naomi Madison, and Elizabeth (the late Harry) Madison Tyler; brother-in-law, Robert Thompson, Sr., nieces and nephews, Robert, John, Marsha, Michean, Jeanine, Tisha, Penny, Brian, Angelique, Sarah, Henry, Jr., Kevin, Joseph, Dewitt, Emelda, Eranisha, Harry, Jr., Harriona, Laurence, and Joann. She is also survived by a host of other nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

Linda loved the Lord, she loved her family and was an avid New Orleans Saints fan. She loved to laugh, she loved cooking, providing for her family, shopping, playing dominos, and watching Wheel of Fortune.

She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life at The Life Gate Church, 1317 Butternut Ave., Metairie, LA on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 10am. Visitation will begin at 9:00am. Burial will follow at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA at 1:30pm. A repass will be celebrated at Chateau Menteur, 8726 Chef Menteur Hwy., New Orleans, LA 70127 from 3:15pm until 6:45pm.
