Lorraine Sovic, a dedicated career woman, passed away peacefully in her home on February 1, 2019. She was 72. Born Lorraine Eunice Thompson in New Orleans, La., to George and Eunice Thompson, she lived and worked most of her life in Metairie. With an incredible devotion to her career and work family, she was employed for 47 years at Terminix of Metairie, retiring as an office manager. She was a mentor to many throughout her years of service and loved by many. She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved brother George Thompson Jr., and is survived by her nephew, George Thompson III.
