Louis Newman Collins Jr. ("Chip"), age 54, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. He was born in New Orleans, LA. and resided in River Ridge, LA for most of his life. He was the son of Louis Newman Collins and Patricia Whittington Collins and he is survived by his brother Keith Patrick Collins. He was also an uncle to Sophie, Carly, Luke, Jack, Grace, Seth, and Andrew Collins. He graduated from Kehoe Academy and attended Louisiana State University. He worked for many years with Royal Caribbean Cruise lines as an assistant cruise director and more recently with Associated Office Systems. Chip's real passion was his love for writing, performing, and producing music. He was an outstanding drummer who played on a number of recording projects. Chip will be sorely missed by his family and the long list of friends that he had all over the world. He is now at home with Jesus Christ, whom he trusted as his Savior.
