Louise Singer Chopin

Louise Singer Chopin, retired owner of J.B. Chopin Florist, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Joseph R. Chopin, Sr. She was born in New Orleans to Magdalen Konen Singer and John B. Singer and lived in River Ridge for the past 32 years. Sister of Forrest R. Singer, Althea S. Pohlmann and the late John B. Singer, Jr. Loving mother of Joseph R. Chopin, Jr., Mary C. Steib, Patricia C. Pinero, Terence J. Chopin, Sr., Elizabeth Munch (Abbie) and Peter J. Chopin. Grandmother of Patricia C. Schielder, Anthony J. Chopin, Christopher J. Chopin, Kimberly S. Rabalais, Stephanie S. Rabalais, Cynthia P. Dupeire, Charles L. Pinero, Jr., Terence J. Chopin, Jr., Angela C. Jeffreys, Sheri M. Crescioni, Leslie A. Munch and the late Roxanne M. Munch. Also survived by 15 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Metairie Cemetery.
