Luella Miller

Aged 90 years , born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Philip and Geneva Abadie.

Luella moved to Harahan, Louisiana when she married her beloved husband, the late Bennet C. Miller Sr., there they raised five children. Momma was the Rock of our family, always smiling, never complaining and was always ready to be picked up to go out. She was a longtime Parishioner of St. Rita Catholic Church in Harahan.

Luella is survived by her children, Carolyn Miller Ludlam (and husband, John), Donna Blanchard (and husband, Tim), Diane Huber (and husband, Brad), Bennet “Benny” Miller Jr. (and wife, Sherry) and Philip Miller (and wife, Belinda).

Also survived by eight wonderful, loving grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many loving and caring friends.

The family would like to express a Special Thank You to Georganne and Joe Benitz, Mrs. Edna and Kathy and Kimmie for the love and compassion shown to our Mom and to Home Instead Senior Care for the care that they provided.

Preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tiffany Huber.

Luella was a former member of The Harahan Lionesss Club, where she held many positions.

Momma was an amazing woman who loved her family, loved to travel and really enjoyed being outside, no matter where it was!

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Rita Catholic Church 7100 Jefferson Hwy. Harahan, on Monday August 26, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.

Interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Louisiana Lions League for Crippled Children 292 L. Bedford Dr. Anacoco, Louisiana 71403.
