Luis Antonio Argueta, 84, passed away, finished this race, and has received his reward with our Father God and Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, October 16, 2026. Luis was born on April 04, 1942, in La Ceiba, Honduras, the “La Ceibita Bonita” as he would always say. He was married to Bertha A. Argueta for over fifty years and had three children, he also had three siblings, two sisters and one brother.
Luis was a jack of all trades, he was a retired boilermaker, electrician, carpenter, and a few other various handyman type work. He loved and enjoyed soccer, working on cars, and visiting family, traveling, reading newspapers, doing puzzles, walking, and enjoying nature’s flowers and trees. Luis loved coffee all through the day, along with sweet pastries of all kinds. Luis and lovingly known as “Tito” was quick witted, a talker, got a kick out of just stirring the pot to argue his point of view, he enjoyed telling you like it is. He was truly himself and he loved and cared for his family and friends in his own way.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dania Argueta Allen, sisters Maria De Jesus Tejeda and Mercidita Argueta and brother, Antonio Argueta.
He is survived by his wife Bertha, his daughters Alicia Argueta, Indira Argueta Murad, son Louis Argueta Jr, grandchildren, Joshua Allen, Louis “Tony” Argueta, Ibraheim and Ismael Murad, and granddaughter Inaam Murad. A multitude of nieces and nephews from the(Chevez family in Honduras), (Maria Tejeda Family), (Mercidita Argueta) and (Antonio Argueta) and near and far cousins (Primos).
We would like to thank the staff at Ochsner Baptist and St. Joseph Hospice for their medical care, compassion, and serving our dad (Papa). There is a heart ache naturally, but we are at peace that the best care was given to our dad. He is no longer suffering and is healed in the Best and Holy arms of our Father God and Lord Jesus Christ.
There are not enough words and space to write for all the friends, family, and coworkers who have prayed and supported our family. God bless and thank you all.
