Lula Cancienne

Lula Mae Sonnier Cancienne departed this life to her eternal rest Monday, March 12, 2012. Born on June 14, 1927 she was 84 years old. Beloved wife of the late Joseph B. Cancienne. Mother of Linda Cancienne Barberot (Glenn, Sr.), Carolyn Cancienne Liggio (R.J.) and Michael J. Cancienne Sr. (Karen). Daughter of the late Julian Sonnier and Ella Comeaux. Sister of Frances Gautreaux, Pierre Sonnier, Virginia Pepper, Helen Pastor and the late Clariel Sonnier, Beulah Bourque, Alice Lejeune, Loris Carriere and Lawrence Sonnier. Grandmother of Glenn J. Barberot Jr., Robert J. Liggio, Angela Liggio Fontenot, Brian J. Liggio, Katie Liggio Griffin, Joseph A. Barberot, Victoria G. Cancienne, Michael J. Cancienne Jr., and seven great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11:30am. Visitation from 8:00am until time of service. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
