Lydia S. Dargis

Lydia Katherine Steadman Dargis, also known as “Ya”, passed away on April 6, 2013 at the age of 90. Born November 28, 1922 in Metairie, LA, she has been a remained a lifelong resident. Daughter of the late Ernest and Clara Klein Steadman; sister of Clara Klein Nuccio and the late Ernest and Joseph Steadman; wife of the late Aloysius Dargis, Jr, mother of Julie Dargis and the late Denise Dargis Majewski; grandmother of Bennett Logan and Michael Majewski; great-grandmother of Everett Logan. She loved to visit family and friends, go to Boomtown, and monitor her Apple stock. She made the best coffee.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animal Rescue New Orleans. Masses are greatly appreciated.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Visitation from 10:00 am until Mass time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
