Lynn Roth Swegel, died on Saturday, September 27, 2014. Mother of Sandra L. Swegel and Anne C. Swegel. Daughter of the late Frank Hunter Roth and Edna McNulty Roth Menige. Step-daughter of the late Herbert Eugene Menige. Sister of the late Robert J. Roth, Sr. Aunt of Robert J. Roth, Jr., Guy Hunter Roth and Susan M. Roth. Great aunt of Christopher J. Isaac. Niece of the late Ethel Ursula Roth, Gladys McNulty Peyton, Amelda McNulty Smith and William J. McNulty. Ms. Swegel was 82 years old and was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. She was a graduate of Eleanor McMain High School. Ms. Swegel was a registered nurse, retiring after 28 years from Lakeside Hospital. She was the recipient of Great 100 Nurses of Louisiana – 2004, was author of “A Guide to the Women of the Bible” and was a former Eucharistic Minister for St. Louis King of France Church, serving at Mass and to the home bound. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial gathering at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Friday, October 3, 2014 beginning at 9:00 AM followed by a Memorial Mass in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will be in Hope Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to EWTN, Eternal Word Television Network, 5817 Old Leeds Road, Irondale, AL 35210 for televising Daily Mass.
