Sandra, just heard of Mary's death about 10 minutes ago so I look it up to see if it was true, you cannot believe how I feel  and I am so sorry I could not be  with you at that time.  Mary was such a dear friend and a wonderful person,she wll be missed dearly, but I know she is in a better place and she is looking down on all of you with your father and brother.  our love,  NIVI AND EARL

Miss Mary would affectionately call me one of her sons, and then say she was my second mother.  Indeed, the bond between the Gandia family and the Lamy family goes back over 50 years, and I am so happy to say is eternal.  Mary was a believer, and now truly has heavenly grace and joy.  She waits for us.  Her life, complex and resilient, continues to show us the way.  Thank You Mary, Thank You Second Mom, - Howard Lamy.

We have so many fond memories of titi Mary, we don't even know where to begin. She will always be remembered for her love of cooking..May God give your family the strength to go forward.We will always be here for all of you. And she will always live in our hearts. Our love always Abi,Maritza and family.

My prayers are with you and your family. The proof of your mothers strength, goodness and love shines in you, and is evident in the people you are and the friends and family you have in your lives. She is surely looking down on you with great happiness and pride in what she created and the gifts she has left the world.

What wonderful pictures!  Mimi was a beautiful person, inside and out!  She was such a wonderful mother and grandmother, and I know she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her faith, spirit and love of life were  wonderful examples and blessings to all the lives she touched. I know there is a deep whole in your hearts, but hope that you find comfort in that she is now with Jesus, and reunited with her beloved husband and son.  She is no longer in any pain.  Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

The funeral ceremony was beautiful.  It was very emotional.  I will miss having Mama G. in my home.  She added a special warmth that will be hard to replace, let alone the great food.  I'm so thankful to have had her as my mother-in-law.  I wanted to share one of the fun memories of Mama G that will never allow me to watch another Saints footbal game the same ever again.  Whenever watching the Saints play, no matter if they were on offense or defense, Mama G would get so excited she would scream during each play with a very high pitch screem "run run, catch him catch him, ayeee"!!.  However, this is not the funny part.  The funny part is when the instant replay would come on TV and she would scream again as if she never saw the play before, and we would all look at her laughing saying "Mimi, it is the same play as before, why are you screaming again"?  She would then crack up laughing so much she would let out one of her snorts that would make everyone laugh even more (especially Cassidy and Caitlin).  This is one of the many things that made Mama G very special.  She did not know much about football, but all she knew was that she wanted the Saints to win.  When she devotes herself to a cause, she goes full force.  The same with her love of Jesus Christ.  The same with her love of her family.  I will miss her dearly and only wish I could have been a better son.  We all know she is in a better place.  We have an angel in Heavan that will be watching over us and knocking directly on the Jesus's door whenever we are in need.  God Bless Mama G.  I will miss you!
