Marlene Mary Harris Adams

Marlene Mary Harris Adams passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday morning, May 25, 2015. She was 75 years. Beloved wife of Robert Allan Adams of 49 years. Loving mother of Melissa Adams Aguilar and Rebecca Adams. Grandmother of Christopher Taylor, Chad Adams, Gabriella Aguilar, David Aguilar Jr., and Isabella Aguilar. Daughter of the late Rudolph and Aimee Geiling Harris. Sister of the late Geraldine Pranzarone and Wayne Harris. She was a native of New Orleans resident of Jefferson Parish for the majority of her life. She was a 1955 graduate of East Jefferson High School, and reigned as the Queen of Thoth in 1965. She was the proprietor of Marlene Harris Dance Studio for several years. She certainly had a green thumb, and enjoyed gardening and plants. She also enjoyed traveling, especially on cruises with her husband and daughter. Marlene devoted her life to caring for her loving family, and will be dearly missed by all. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from ST. PHILIP NERI, 6500 Kawanee Avenue, Metairie, on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be held at LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Saturday morning from 9:00 until 11:30. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories, Metairie.
