Mary Edith Huckabee Mulé

Mary Edith Huckabee Mulé, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 11, 2016, at the age of 88 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony D. Mulé, and was preceded in death by her father, George B. Huckabee, her mother, Ethel Dilbeck Huckabee, her siblings, Kathleen Whitmeyer, Mable Green, Gloyd Huckabee, and her son, Michael A. Mulé. She is survived by her sister, Bonnie Jean Chesley, and her children, Gabriel (Barbara), Raphael (Suzette) and Mary Angela Rudh, as well as grandchildren, Michelle (Kevin), Gabriel (Anne), Michael, Cecilia (Eric), Ingrid, Stephen, Matthew and Sarah, and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Cameron, Cole, Max, Caroline, Eli, Caleb, Gabrielle, Avery, Lucia and Olivia. Mary was born in Norphlet, Arkansas and was a graduate of Norphlet High School, and then went on to attend Schumpert Hospital School of Nursing in Shreveport, Louisiana where she earned her RN designation in nursing. She moved to New Orleans where she met Anthony, the love of her life, and resided there for many years. Mary enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time with her family and friends, and attending church. She will be dearly missed by all. The family would like to express their thanks to all of the staff who was responsible at Bridgeway Hospice for caring for our mother during this very difficult time. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am on Monday April 18, 2016 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana 70006.
