I'm so very sorry for your loss.  I worked with Mike at AIG, and I can say without hesitation he was my favorite boss-and never failed to make us smile.

Mike was one of my father's (Leon Drew) best friends.  I am Leon's youngest daughter & I really can't remember a time when Mike was not in our lives.  He had a way of putting everyone at ease with his infectious laughter. :)

I grew up attending Tulane games with the guys & we always had a great time, win or lose, because Mike always had a joke to share.  Even when Mom died last April, Mike attended her funeral with a bum leg & lifted our spirits with his positive attitude & a few jokes on the side.

As my sister stated earlier, Mike was always willing & able to help our dad out, no matter the circumstances.  He will be sorely missed, but I have no doubt that he's already earning his angel wings by sharing his gift of gab & his playlist of jokes in Heaven.  Mike was definitely ONE OF A KIND & will NEVER be forgotten!  We are lucky to have had the privilege of knowing him so well.

My heart goes out to Mike's whole family & may the love of friends & family carry you through your grief..

I am so sad that Mike has left us.  I worked with him for many years while at AIG. Mike was always helpful, understanding and fun to be around. He was one of my favorite Supervisors.  He will be missed.  Rest in Peace my friend.

I worked with Mike for many years with Equifax. He used to come up to Hammond on a regular basis. I also enjoyed his company at our "alumni lunches" organized by Leon Drew. My sympathies to his family.

Aunt Bernice I am so sorry for your loss. Even though I did not see Mike often I always enjoyed talking to Mike, he was such a funny guy. I know you will miss his more than words could ever express. Please know that you are in my prayers and thoughts always.Love you

Deep condolences to all Mike's evidently numerous and close family, especially his mom. :You are so right -- he will sadly by missed by so many. 

Mike and my dad Leon Drew have been good friends for decades: since their joint Equifax days. My mom Helen died last April after a long illness, and Mike had already done such a good job restarting their former outings like driving across the lake to get fruit. After Katrina when my dad needed help with things, Mike would come over and help him with tasks like checking the air in his tires.I was ecen looking forward to Mike's getting him out to the library to start out becoming just a little bit as literate MIke was!

I live in Miami now, and had been back in July for an Extreme Weather conference in downtown New Orleans. I'm here now at another, Association of Conflict Resolution. At the first there were a lot of engineering firms with booths, and they outdid themselves offering cool "gadget" advertising freebies like combined flashlight/key rings/bottle openers. I'd gathered two of everything, and my dad said MIke had really enjoyed receiving his. Just now seeing the same kind of things at the booths on the break, I was so sad I wouldn't be able to do the same thing for him this time. Probably the best way to remember Mike is to engage, as the saying goes, in random acts of kindnesses.

Mike was a wonderful human being, and the memory of his warmth will live forever.
