The message about the closing of the guest book for Mike came to me today, exactly one year from the day my Bonnie left me for that place from which there is no returning.  Since then I have lost several other friends. Sometimes i wonder why they had to leave and why I'm still here.  My past year has been busy caring for my first wife who has Parkinson's. I virtually lived in Topeka most of the year. So long Mike until we meet again.

Although I have not seen Mike in many years, I remember him from Dublin St.  I lived next door to his parents, Mr. Mike and Miss Izzy when I was growing up.  I remember him as always smiling and was always friendly to everyone. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

I did not have an opportunity to meet Michael, but I know his son Stephen and you know what they say, the "nut" does not fall far from the tree.  He must have been a great person, one who cared for his friends and family.  A person that never had a bad day, smiles all the time, making jokes and making people feel good.  My family and I hope everyone remembers the joy he brought.  God bless you

I remember Mike working with me when I first started at IBMK in the 60's.  He had a great sense of humor and I learned a lot from him.

Though I knew Mike was seriously ill,it
is still shockingly sad to learn of his
passing. He was an affable, ever smiling, great guy. We first met at Fortier High in the early 1940's.
Later, we worked together at IBM.
I will miss my e-mail buddy - though
he and his family have been in my
prayers since first learning of his
illness. May GOD welcome Mike, and
console his family in their loss.

Mike and I were in radar school together in the Air Force.  I was 17 and he was 16.  We were buddies.  I still have a crumpled up photo of him sitting on his footlocker. It was in my billfold for a long time. About two years ago I contacted him and we emailed each other often up until he left us.  He was always praising me, giving me credit for being smarter than I really am. That was Mike. I will miss him.

Mike was always one of the sweetest and nicest men I ever met or worked with,it is sad that he is gone.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I have many memories of Mr. Mike while growing up next door.  He was a good man and always smiling.  My parents, Amy and Lee, thought a great deal of Mr.  Mike and Ms Jackie, I know they would miss him.  During our lives we meet someone who we know is a good person in his heart and Mr. Mike was that kind of person.

May the God of all comfort strengthen the family during this time of sorrow." Those who die God keep in his memory because they are precious in his eyes." (Psalms 116:15)

Ms. Jackie, Sharon and Stephen; Just wanted you to know we are praying for you guys. I always enjoyed spending time at you alls house when I was in high school. Mr. Mike always had something witty to say or wise advice to give. He was really a great person and will be sorely missed.
