Morris Louis Trahan Sr.

Morris Louis Trahan, Sr. went peacefully to the Lord on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the age of 80. Devoted husband of Angelle Picou Trahan for 60 years. Loving father of David (Sandi) Trahan, Morris (Lin) Trahan, Jr., Dianne (Rodney, Sr.) Mosley and Louis (Tina) Trahan. Grandfather of Tiffany, Rodney, Jr., Kelly, Sean, Cory, Caitlin, Alex, and Anna. Great-grandfather of Hayden, Riley, and Skyler. Brother of Joan Trahan-Hebert. Son of the late Earl and Eula Trahan.

Morris was an accomplished musician starting his own band at the age of 15 and became a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp Band during his military service. He went on to work in radio and television production with WDSU and later started his own production company.

A native of Gretna, LA and resident of Metairie, LA for the past 60 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
