Otto August Hinrichs Jr.

Otto August Hinrichs, Jr. passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn Augustine Hinrichs. Father of Wanda Hinrichs Schultz, Keith E. Hinrichs, Brian D. Hinrichs and the late Wayne O. Hinrichs. Son of the late Otto A. Hinrichs, Sr. and Bertha Maxwell Hinrichs. Brother of Bertha Heumann, Gloria Guidry, Linda Johnson, Betty Held, Carol Braud and the late Elaine Sorenson, Henry Hinrichs, Richard Hinrichs, Allen Hinrichs and Shirley Hinrichs. Also survived by 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Hinrichs was a veteran of the US Air Force for 26 years, a member of the VFW, the Air Force Sergeant’s Association and the US Navy Seabees. He was also a parishioner of St. Matthew the Apostle Church and past president of the Holy Name Society.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
