Patrick E. Connelly Sr.

Patrick E. Connelly, Sr. entered into Heaven on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Betty Kirwin Connelly for 60 years. Father of Patrick E. Connelly, Jr., Eileen Connelly Roth (Henry) and Kenneth J. Connelly, Sr. (Debra). Grandfather of Alan “A.J.”, Alicia and Kenneth Jr. Great grandfather of Skyler, Adrienne and Bella. Son of the late L. M. Ferguson Connelly and O. J. Connelly. Brother of Jack Connelly, Jayne Fischer and the late William Connelly. Mr. Connelly was retired from Dupont. After retiring, he developed artistic abilities, primarily oil paintings. He also had an uncanny ability to recall family and friends he came in contact with, including their names and birthdays, sometimes even the day of the week they were born on. He was a kind and loving man who will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 1:30 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 11:30 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
