Regina Gonzalez de Tanchez passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Saturday evening, February 25, 2017. She was 81 years old. Beloved wife of the late Augusto Cesar Tanchez. Loving mother of Cesar Tanchez (Nora) and Lenin Tanchez (Raquel). Grandmother of Zuelen Ceren, Cesar Tanchez, Regina Hart, Lenin Tanchez, Melissa Tanchez, and Christian Tanchez. Great-grandmother of Gabriella Ceren, Daniella Ceren, Mia Ceren, Sophia Tanchez, and Aria Tanchez. Daughter of the late Juan Garcia and Augustina Pozuelos. Sister of Zenaida Castellanos. Regina was a native of Guatemala City, Guatemala and has been a resident of the New Orleans area for the past 20 years. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Guatemala. Regina will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service from LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Saturday evening, March 4, 2017 at 8:00.
