Richard Stockton McCabe

Richard Stockton McCabe passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 62 years to Frances Louise Gettys McCabe. Son of the late Joseph McCabe and Ida May Jacobs McCabe. Devoted brother of Jewel McCabe Kathmann (the late, Arthur C.), JoAnn J. McCabe and the late Joseph E. McCabe. Loving uncle of Brian David Kathmann (Joan) and great uncle of Brett S. Kathmann, MD and Jessica C. Kathmann.

Richard was a retired electrician for the Veterans Administration Hospital and a US Navy veteran who proudly served his country in World War II and the Korean War. He was also a 32nd degree Mason who was an active member and Past Master of Metairie Lodge F&AM 444.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Richard’s caretakers, Kirby and Norma, for their devotion to his well-being.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, September 17, 2012 at 11:00 am at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Metairie Ridge Presbyterian Church; 215 Phosphor Avenue; Metairie, LA 70005 are preferred.
