Ronald E. Cantrelle Sr.

Ronald E. Cantrelle Sr., of Luling, LA, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011 surrounded by loved ones. He was 66. Husband of the late Betty Newton Cantrelle and companion of Charmaine Horn Alario. Father of Ronnie, Shane, and Casey Cantrelle. Stepfather of Alan Alario. Grandfather of Travis, Matthew, Derek, Dustin and Bethany Cantrelle and Chloe Alario. Son of the late Castler Cantrelle and Laura St. Amant Cantrelle. Brother of Kenneth Cantrelle, Carl Cantrelle, Sr., Kirk Cantrelle and Jeanniene Begue.

Ronald retired from Union Carbide after 31 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed coaching golf at Hahnville High School. He also volunteered for the Fore! Kids Foundation.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua, 234 Angus Drive in Luling on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening, July 12, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Wednesday morning, July 13, 2011 from 9:00 am until Mass time. Interment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions to the Ronald Cantrelle Memorial Scholarship Fund, payable to any Capital One branch.
