Ronald Mel Gordy

Ronald M. “Bear” Gordy departed this life on December 28, 2011. Beloved husband of his devoted wife, Pamela Martin Gordy. Son of Laura Rita Gordy and the late Livingston Joseph Gordy. Brother of Robert Gordy (and wife,Toni), Donna Gordy, Kathy Gordy Hardin ( and husband Dedo) and the late Michael Patrick Gordy Sr. Loving step- father of Jessica Santos (and husband, Richard) and Joseph F. Dabrowski III(and wife, Lucy).

Proud step- grandfather of Alixandrya and Ricky Santos and Carson and Olivia Dabrowski.

Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ron grew up in the Irish Channel, a graduate of Redemptorist High School, a United States Navy Veteran, and for 18 years was the proprietor of Maximillan’s Lounge. He was involved with the Steel Tip dart league in Jefferson Parish as well as with the Soft Tip dart league in New Orleans, La. Jefferson Parish and Slidell, La., was president of Charlie's Saints Marching Club, and later founded Maximillian’s Saints Marching Club.

Aged 63 years, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell for the past 5 years.

Friends and Family, please join us to celebrate his life on Thursday January 12, 2012, at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, La., with visitation to begin at 11:00 a.m. and services to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
