Rosalia Serio Bilich

Rosalia Serio Bilich left this earth on July 8, 2025, in Metairie, La., at the age of 87. New Orleans-born and bred, she was a dedicated and loving sister, mother, and grandmother of three siblings, four children, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her brother, Dr. Joseph R. Serio, and sister, Maria Serio Liuzza, who will cherish the memories they shared growing up in the French Quarter. As a loving parent, Rosalia leaves behind two daughters and two sons: Kandace Bilich Lee (Robert), Kenneth Bilich (Cathleen), Henry “Hank” Bilich, Jr. (Cathy), and Roxanne Bilich Kilpatrick (James).

Ro-Ro’s grandchildren include Lauren Lee; Robert Lee (Jordan; son Theo); Spencer Bilich (Tiffany; son Kyrie, daughter Addison); Sawyer Bilich (Emilee; daughters Ellyana and Hadley); Piper Bilich; Stephano Bilich; Dominick Bilich (Kelsey); Gabriel Baldo (Jordyn; sons Kai and Nicholai, daughter Nadia); Therese Baldo Hill (Nathan); and Hannah Baldo Vass (Cameron).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ninfa Sclafani Serio and Russell Serio, and her sister, Fortunata Serio Dyer Gambos.

Family and friends are invited to the Memorial Mass on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, La., 70006. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continues until Mass time. Burial will follow at Metairie Cemetery - All Saints Mausoleum, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, La., 70124.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.
